The Guardians Tale

So our film has been approved for production! Huzzah!
So now comes the horrible part where we actually have to make this thing...

So first off, we have a treatment image for the main part of the film. This is pretty much the look we're going after for our film. Flat, 2D backgrounds/foregrounds with 3D animated characters. The characters have also been rendered to have a flat 2D look as well.

Secondly we have a concept image which we feel pretty strongly about. These Silhouettes will be used to illustrate the legend and current situation the Guardian is in. The '2D' sequence at the beginning of our film.

And here we have some developmental images of our 3D character models. With both the Guardian and the girl, we have discovered a number of problems with their designs (mostly small things) that make them deform ineffectively (mainly the little girls suit- her arms and neck aren't given enough room to move, and are very limited, this will need to be changed)

And the girl's spaceship.

Soon we'll be updating the Animatic, so keep an eye out for that. It will then change once again, due to the need to cut down the timing of our film. How much will be changed? Only time will tell.
